A young reporter from Chicago - fresh out of college remains in the town of Alma, looking to make ends meet in finding a story to boost her freelance career.
The only thing that comes up of interest are shotty rumors of a "fish man" residing in the Mississippi, scaring the residents of the town and causing mischief for the fishermen looking to catch a bass. How boring.
