“I need your help to protect her. I don’t want to have to protect her from you,” Alex finishes, as close to begging and full on weeping as she’s ever seen. “So could you please stop being a dick, Lena?”
Lena can’t look at Alex. Can’t face her with the vitriol that’s in her heart. It’s still there, but it’s being overpowered by something new now. Something that felt a lot lighter. “I’ll try,” she promises softly.

Kara shows up on Lena's balcony one night. She's been drugged. She'll be alright but not before she makes some embarrassing confessions and manages to cuddle up to Lena on her couch. S5.
“Are you alright?” Lena asked.
Kara smiled and nodded, “I’m great,” she mumbled, half-asleep, “can’t see a thing but I’m good.”
“Try opening your eyes,” Lena said.
Kara did. Her eyelids felt heavy as she dragged them open. The world was very bright and intense all of a sudden. She blinked as her vision cleared and her eyes focused on Lena.
“Oh, that’s better,” she smiled, “Lena! Hi! You are beautiful!”
“Oh-kay. And you are drugged,” Lena replied, “you think you can stand?”

After breakfast, Lena grabbed a blanket and her spellbook and went outside. Kara was sitting on the porch steps, talking on the phone with Alex. As Lena passed her, she gently stroked Kara's shoulder and then turned as she walked.
Kara looked her straight in the eyes: "Oh yes, sis, the view is simply breathtaking." Lena looked away and grinned to herself. Her friend is clearly flirting with her. She can't be imagining it all.

Black Kryptonite may get rid of Reign in a World Killer, but for a regular kryptonian the result is very different. No one is equipped for a Super with no morals, compassion, and a working knowledge of every anti-kryptonian strategy. Kara should never have been in Lena's lab during the attempts to cure Sam, the risk was too great. Not that anyone realized that in time.
aka. I read too many comics and Black Kryptonite is a thing and its horrific. Not to mention a Super just has to be too close to it, no injection needed.
