Summary
12 year old Luz stumbles through the portal, and rather than getting founded by Eda, she is found by Emperor Belos and raised along with Hunter. The two annoy each other to no end in their rivalry for Belos's approval. However, growing up in a castle full of backstabbers and a tyrannical ruler, they soon realize that the only ones they can really on is each other. Until the wanted criminal owl lady gives them a new home. Angst, trauma-bonding, and an eventual happy ending ensues.
