A week in and you swear that thing is getting closer. No amount of scouring code, inspecting elements, or emptying caches has gotten rid of it, so you move on to other bullets on your to-do list.
There’s no getting used to the entity, its slinky figure partway between mischievous and…leering. You hate to use the latter as a descriptor for it, its mask stuck in a permanent grin showing off leporine teeth and static eyes that glow a sharper hue than the rest of its purplish figure.
By the two week mark, it’s close enough to touch.

Sometimes, he spills your guts, takes your intestines, your heart, and harbors it within the suit of his chest. He’d shown you, made sure you were alive enough to witness it. Then he took your lungs–-your abdomen, and completed the missing parts of his body that had once belonged to you.
He took that advantage, consumed you at your most vulnerable. Stripped you naked, chased you endlessly throughout the forest, the decimated borgo, the saloon—anywhere, everywhere, he would always have you.
(but at the time, you had wanted it).
So when you run, do your job as you’re supposed to do–-you see the way his eyes shift, from heavy lidded—to surprise. He doesn’t like it. You can tell from the jump. He’s brutal this time, to end the game, to find you, to punish you for playing your part. You knew it was for your body, you knew you were the lamb—but today, there is no sacrifice.
You find that you don't really want that anymore.

Fazbear Frights is run into the ground before it can ever open, a hazardous nightmare from the get go, and is forced to quickly relocate its assets.
Elsewhere, you, middle aged and overworked, spend your weekdays at a job only loosely related to your field of interest. It overlaps just enough with your major for you to stomach it—more importantly, the pay lets you indulge in your hobby in the free time you’re spared: animatronic restoration.
You think you’ve scored something incredible when you find him, a sad and beat up thing, neglected and awful by all measures, certainly a hell of an undertaking but perfect for you to keep yourself busy. Loneliness and desperation, however, take you to some depths you’re not entirely equipped for.
