Most importantly, she wouldn't fall in love with her husband Killian Rudwick. His heart already belonged to Rhyse, and his arranged marriage to Edith wasn't going to change that.
Despite her best efforts, Edith is still being forced down the same path as the original novel's plot. At least, that's what it seems like. But when Edith finally waves the white flag and decides to just follow the plot after all, the novel again has other plans. Slowly, the pairs and trios had wandered away from the dwindling fire and gone to enjoy the privacy of their tents… leaving Adrien and Marinette sitting awkwardly across from one another, pretending that the sounds they were hearing weren’t designed to put pressure on them to finally make a move. They were both keenly aware that there was only one tent still empty, and their things had been moved there by well-meaning friends who now had their hands full with other matters. With this only the first night of a planned week away, will they procrastinate the inevitable or utilize their time wisely?
Rating may change - writing this on the fly and with zero direction in mind other than cute, potentially sexy nonsense.

Summary

When she can't convince Adrien that she'll stick with him through thick and thin, Marinette forces her way into Adrien's life in the way he needs most at the moment—as the twins' nanny. Not that she's making life easy for him. Whatever happened to the sweet girl he'd known in their teen years?
TL;DR Marinette is temptation, and Adrien is losing his sanity.

Summary
After the defeat of Gabriel Agreste and the disappearance of the mysterious peacock miraculous user, Marinette is left to try her best as Guardian and pick up the pieces. With the kwamis left in hibernation, no leads on the missing peacock miraculous, and no way to contact her beloved partner, she's left to her wit's end on where to proceed.
That is, until the prime suspect of the peacock wielder coincidentally takes up an apprenticeship at her parents' bakery. Adrien Agreste, son of Hawkmoth, has seemingly planted his roots in her home while Marinette was away for an apprenticeship. This could either be a disaster in the making, or the perfect opportunity to retrieve the missing miraculous... either way, it's war.
At least, it would be, if the gosh darn villain weren't so sweet!
