Jonathan Byers’ childhood best friend — now, a haunting visage, opposed to the cocky and animated ‘King Steve’ that roamed the halls of Hawkins High. The creature preying on him was a farce — it had to be.
"I need you frightened."
Steve could never smile that wide — could never sit that still. His irises were never that small, like little black dots piercing his soul. Jonathan watched as the redness befalling them seeped into the whites of Steve’s eyes, too — painting him in wretched colors.
"I need you hopeless."
He sees another vision of that vessel drenched in gore and rabidly tearing, clawing, eating its way deeper, deeper, deeper.
