Summary
Duo Maxwell, former gundam pilot and ex-Preventer agent, gets isekai’d into 17th century England. When he wakes up, he is arrested, branded a heretic (because he’s dressed like a Catholic priest at the height of Protestant vs Catholic conflicts in Britain), and escapes by dressing up and pretending to be a woman. The coach he escapes on is then hijacked by two highwaymen, one of whom gets stabbed, and he finds himself helping them. He discovers that they are actually impoverished gentry, one of whom is holding a bride hunt ball to auction his title/bloodline for money.
The rub is that one of the highwaymen-turned-gentry looks exactly like the dude Duo was crushing over before he died and went to gothic romance novel heaven (or hell, depending on how you look at it.)

Gepard had made peace with having no soulmate. In the familiar order of 00:000:00:00:00 (years, days, hours, minutes, seconds), Gepard saw marks ticking around him every day of the warming spring. Rolled-up shirts worn on too-hot days led to many exposed wrists. Romantic indications on the left, platonic on the right for those right-handed, and the inverse for those who worked with their left. He barely registered them anymore because he had no want left in him, no yearning. A soulmate was simply not in the cards for him as someone born without a timer.
So, here he sat in the pottery shop five blocks from his city apartment when he overheard a conversation that changed the course of his life.

Heartbreakingly beautiful, I love this story. 💛
Gepard's healing process was wonderfully written, as was their blossoming relationship. The story and characters were portrayed in a very real manner and didn't shy away from darker aspects of life. Love the spin on soulmates!

This was really cute.
The analysis within the explanations that Jimin offers are really interesting to read regardless of their accuracy, though they did seem fairly logical. The characterization really added to the overall story and it's funny reading about how Jimin's little quirks and peculiarities eventually grows on Jungkook. The amazing contradiction of child-like innocence and top of the class intelligence makes for an intriguing character, especially when Jimin goes on about how he loves serial killer cases but realizes that would mean that people die.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes have always been one of my favorite stories to read and to see it incorporated into a fanfiction with that same dash of adventure and intrigue is just brilliant. The touch of romance blooming within is beautiful as well, with Taehyung's surprisingly wise words (for his character within this story) gently nudging things along, haha.

Full Disclosure : I have never seen Howl's Moving Castle or any other Studio Ghibli films.
With that said, this piece has definitely piqued my interest. The vivid imagery and fast-paced action scenes were brilliant, and the characterization of all the members be they in human shape or not was hilarious. Jin as an adorable, hopping scarecrow was something I never knew I needed until now. The banter between Jimin and Yoongi was always a blast to read, it quite resembles some of the conversations (arguments?) they would have in real life when petty meets savage. Furthermore, the setting and presentation of the story was incredible.
All in all, I really enjoyed this story 💛 The blossoming relationships between all characters, what with Yoongi dispelling Jimin's curse and Jungkook overcoming his shadows, was especially heartwarming to read, and the resolution was sweet. An end to the war, liberation from curses, and romantic feelings in the air.
