When he cracks his eyes open, Annie Cresta is leaning over him.
Except it’s not actually Annie. Not in any way that matters at least. This version is too watery, far too washed out and faint to be his Annie. His Annie is vibrant and lovely and hopefully very very far from the Capitol right now.
Finnick thinks rather morbidly that he must have lost a lot of blood if he’s hallucinating her already.

A soft giggle comes from the other end of the line. “Makki, you’re so vulgar tonight. I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but I like it.”
That’s not Mastukawa. Iwaizumi sighs, his anger fading into resigned tiredness. It’s just some random guy drunk-dialing his friend or something. “Sorry, man. You must have the wrong number.”
“Noooo, Makki. Don’t hang up, please. It’s sooo late and I’m sorry but I’m so drunk. Bo-chan is eating all the chips and I’m so hungry!” There’s a hiccup accompanied by miserable whining. “...Makki, will you please get me some food?”

Meanwhile, Riddle and Azul each attempt to do damage control on their parents and the inevitable reveal of certain secrets they'd both much rather stay hidden.
