Summary
He's so lost in his own thoughts he doesn't hear the dog barking from the other side of the street, all he registers is Buck yanking his arm as he walks – runs them across so he can see the dog.
“Woah Buck, slow down.” He can't help but laugh at his excitement over seeing a golden retriever, albeit a very cute and a very fluffy golden retriever.
“Eddie oh my god look at how cute this little angel is.” His hand dropped in favour of Buck stroking the dog who's now wagging its tail at him and barking happily.
Who he assumes is the dog’s owner come out from the other side of the garden smiling happily at the sight in front of her.
“Sorry about this,” he can't help but say with a smile plastered on his face “can my golden retriever meet yours.”

Summary
“I’m so in love with you, Eddie,” his voice shaky as he confessed, blood dripping from Buck's mouth, “Is why it hurt– seeing you leave cause I love you so much, too much.”
Eddie felt helpless, not doing enough as he heard Buck confess what he'd dream about for a long time, blood mixing with his own tears. Then, on the way to the hospital, Buck's vitals crashed and he stopped breathing.
or, Eddie knew him and Buck were meant to be, he knew Buck loved him as much as he loved him– they're getting there, just needed more time. That's until Buck's shot during a call.
