Au début, ce n’étaient que des remarques. Des critiques qu’il aurait autrefois balayées d’un rire nerveux. Puis les vagues étaient venues. Les rumeurs. Les accusations. Les montages. Les détournements. Tout ce qui, sur internet, déforme et dévore.
Et Adrien, lui, s’était tu. Il avait cru que le silence suffirait à apaiser la tempête.
Mais le silence, sur les réseaux, n’est pas un refuge : c’est un cercueil.un jour, il y eut ce bruit.
Sec, brutal.
Un angle de meuble, ou peut-être une voiture. Il ne sut jamais.
Il se souvint seulement du choc, de la lumière blanche, et du néant.Quand il revint à lui, il était étendu sur le sol, la tempe en feu. Le téléphone vibrait à côté, illuminant le parquet de son écran fissuré. Dach. Antoine. Sa sœur. Des dizaines de messages.
Il lut sans répondre. Ferma les yeux.
Et dormit.Le lendemain, une chose étrange apparut dans ses notes.
Une phrase, écrite à la hâte, tremblante, rageuse :

Welcome to Ninjetti's Virtual Season 4 of Mutant X! I actually met my first Live Journal friend through her MX fanfic site, and she lamented the cancellation of the show, making one of her online Christmas wishes "Bring MX back!" for a number of years after our poor show folded. Not being a Hollywood bigwig, I couldn't literally make that happen, but I could write a Season 4, and so I did! This Virtual Season 4 is FULL of spoilers for the show's entire run; it assumes the reader has already seen it. Go watch it; cheezy superhero sci-fi at its best/worst!
