Summary
The Tedesco mansion belonged to a mafia family with the same name during the 1950s. Some passersby claimed to hear piano sounds and see figures in the windows. Intrigued by this story and by the fact that he had seen these figures since childhood, Aldo grew up, became an adult, and decided to investigate the mansion on his own to try to discover the cause of it all. What he discovers is not just a simple case of a haunted mansion, but of an important resident who still lives there and begins to feel a certain affection for Aldo.

Thomas’ eyes blink open, then fall on Vincent.
“Vincent,” he murmurs blearily, voice hoarse. Then, he seems to register he's in his own apartment, outside of the Vatican. He rockets onto his elbows. “Vincent! What—”
Vincent holds up the apartment key. “I let myself in. I hope you don't mind.”
“Of course not! But—how did you get here?”
“I walked.”
“Through Rome?”
“Well, I didn't walk through Venice.”

Thomas and Vincent test the limits of their self-control. (It’s rapidly dwindling, given they have the keys to each other’s apartments.)

Was he just paranoid? Was he so far gone that he was just imagining things? Maybe, but Thomas kept praying, focusing on the words of his prayer, as he swore something stood right next to his bed. All he could hear, however, was the clock, the beeping and whirring of the monitors, and the sound of his own labored breaths in the darkness.

He let out a choked sound as a hand covered his mouth, tilting his head to the side, and something sharp latched onto his neck, digging into his flesh.

Thomas’ cancer returns, but someone prevents his death by turning him into a vampire. Unsure of how to navigate this new life, he seeks out Vincent Benitez to help find the vampire that turned him.

Goffredo Tedesco, or rather: Father Goffredo Tedesco is a priest, lifelong dream of his.
But not everything is a bed of roses for him, as he approaches the middle age, he gets a new temptation: Forming a family.
It first starts as a dream, a faraway fantasy during his lonely sinful nights. A house of his own, a warm chimney, children running around and playing, and a wife.
A fruitful, Proverbs 31 woman, submissive, silent, who wears ankle-length skirts, knowledgeable in the word of the Lord and ready to appease her husband any moment, never talking back and nodding silently, the kind of woman his mother was, and her mother before her.
That is when he meets Maranata, he meets her at a Doctorate-level research he was invited to.
Maranata, with her long hair, long skirts, makes pasta from scratch, read the Bible forward and Backwards.
But also a woman of world, someone who studies, prepares and bites back, a woman that does not stand for injustice and won't take disrespect.
What will be more important? His clergical vows or his ideals of the perfect woman?

When an extremely rare Lomeli painting falls under the threat of being trapped forever in a selfish man's private collection, Aldo and Goffredo race against time to find answers about this mysterious man from the past... provided the police don't catch them first.
In Aldo's defence, it wasn't exactly his fault. Blame it all on Goffredo, and Aldo's inability to say no to him, no matter how hard he tries.

Interpersonal matters have never been his strong suit; there’s a brashness to himself that he can’t quite shake. He attributes it to the dog-eat-dog world of growing up the youngest of eleven. He’s struggled to get past the acquaintance stage with any of the men in his cohort and it should worry him, but in all truth, he likes his solitude. Having time and space of his own is still a novelty even four years post leaving his childhood home. The majority of his free time is spent reading and listening to the silence around him.

Life is good since Thomas' return from his vacation (for the most part, anyway). He's more relaxed and having him around helps ease Vincent's mood. The effect is even more considerable now they are so much closer.
As Vincent learns to accept and adapt to a more settled life around his papacy, Thomas must learn to undo six decades of repression to be able to settle into their relationship.
But they can do it. Together.
