“I hate you,” Jason repeats, and it still breaks Dick’s heart to hear it, even after how long they’ve had this thing between the two of them, even after the number of times Dick has heard Jason say this or something similar before.
Because the thing is, Dick is very much attached. And Jason doesn’t want that.
Dick doesn’t say anything in response, just carries on kissing him as he eases Jason onto his bed. But he knows that Jason hates him.
God, he knows.
And yet, that doesn’t make it hurt any less.

And, and you’re asking me how everyone else is, but what about me?” Mark says, voice breaking. “I thought he killed you, I was so scared when I was holding your body. You were hardly conscious, and—and you were so fucking cold. So cold.” Tears are forming in his eyes, threatening to fall the more he talks.
“I begged Cecil to come and get you so I could stop Conquest. So I could save you. I didn’t—I don’t care about anyone else, you know? I just… I just wanted you to be okay.” Mark sobs, his head falling against your bed as his hands grip yours. He sniffles, small hiccups coming in between his words as he continues. “I missed you so much. I’m so sorry.”
