Summary
After Will Byers returns to Hawkins after living in California for five years, his life turns upside down. Going back to his past life — a life he thought was long gone — comes with great struggle Will tries to convince everyone (himself included) it’s just some seasonal depression that’s going to wear off once fall is over.
Turns out it’s anything but a seasonal depression, as Will begins to feel like he’s going insane — feeling like he’s haunted by the ghost of his past, struggling to eat anything as food looks like poison, and with a good night’s sleep becoming a thing of the past.
And it certainly doesn’t help that Mike Wheeler keeps staring at him from across the hallway like a creep. He keeps staring instead of talking to Will, instead of making things right after ghosting him years ago.
Because despite once being inseparable, now Will sees Mike as nothing but a cowardly stranger, who didn’t have the guts to write him one last letter saying he didn’t want to keep in touch anymore. Or at least that’s Will’s point of view.

This was fine. He wasn’t jealous. No, no. He wasn’t. He was – he was a supportive friend! A totally platonic, non-possessive, emotionally healthy friend. He cared about Will in the healthiest way possible. He’d never, ever, have inappropriate thoughts about his best friend. Totally platonic. Yadayadayada. Good friend. Platonic. Totally normal. Yeah. He was fine.

It is September in 1991, and Mike Wheeler arrives in New York already feeling late to his own life. New York is loud, overwhelming, and full of people who seem annoyingly functional.
Will Byers is here too, living in Brooklyn, working at a café, dating a guy named Carlton, and pretending the past is manageable. Mike does not buy it. The rest of the Party are scattered across the city, busy, successful, and doing their best to seem normal.
They all try to stay connected as old dynamics fall apart and new ones hurt worse. Then Eleven shows up, alive, calm, and unfairly well-adjusted, forcing everyone, especially Mike, to figure out who they are now.

Summary
Out of all the things in life that could’ve happened Eddie Munson. going from a professional dungeon dweller to then fighting alongside “The King Steve” who’s- for the record is not a bad dude. to then dying…but not? This would’ve never been on his list in a million years.
Or…
After waking up in the upside down slightly different, Eddie now hast to navigate the world above from a… “different”point of view. Steve, however, gets into the trouble of his own. Can the rest of the party go back to normal? or was “abnormal” their new normal?
