Or- in a world where many key events played out differently, it wasn't a gray wolf that met Gouhin one night in the Back Alley, but a golden retriever named Jack. As he grows up and continues to help carnivores with their meat cravings the world around him slowly unravels, but maybe in the end he can make some sense of it.
Especially once a strange gazelle enters the picture.
