Obi-Wan was clearly having some difficulty; he was holding on to this temper with both hands. Qui-Gon waited.
“I must marry,” Obi-Wan nearly spat the word. “It must be someone from a respectable family. A magical family, naturally.”
Qui-Gon took a sip of his wine to give himself a minute before responding. Obi-Wan looked absolutely miserable, staring down at his dinner plate as if it had personally offended him.
“These days one would be hard pressed to find a truly respectable magical family in all of Coruscant,” Qui-Gon said mildly.
Obi-Wan snorted.

And as always, a great hero deserves a great prize.
Slowly, Obi-Wan meets his eyes, smiling politely as he stretches out his hand for a greeting. He wants this to be on his terms.
“I’m Obi-Wan Kenobi,” he says. “It seems I will be your husband.”
