Dot is covered in blood. Her hands, up to the elbows, the front of her shirt, her cargo pants. So much blood - it makes the ashen tint of Rachel’s skin even worse somehow, because all that blood should be inside her and not on Dot’s clothes, on her skin, in her hair. She wants to feel sick, like Fatin who threw up earlier when she got a glimpse of Rachel’s mangled wrist, but Dot just doesn’t have time for that. Sure, the wound is ugly, but no more disturbing than a hole in her father’s throat.

This is going to be a series of one-shots. Or maybe just this one, although I have two more in the making (one fluff, one smut) that could see the light next weekend. Or next month. Or never. You all know how this works, right?
I'm just all hyped up knowing the countdown for S6 is almost over and, after watching the trailer today for the hundredth time..., I had to share with you all the angsty angst I've been keeping since Sara was abducted.
This first chapter is about Sara dealing with stuff once she's finally back on the ship after months trying to escape her captors.

"Ben, this is not the time," I said with that stupid high voice I used with my felines. The sitting cat suddenly sat up, raising his tail and meowing once again. He rubbed his back against my calf, and I internally grew sad when I realized that I hadn't felt his touch at all since he had touched my prosthesis. Karlie must have noticed it, as she suddenly detached from my body and bent down.
"Are you hungry, little boy?"
She petted his soft white fur, a rather loud purr echoing between us. When my girlfriend looked up at me and smiled faintly, she reached for my hand and squeezed it gently, as if to say, it will get better, I promise.
And that was enough to make all the bad thoughts go away from my mind.
