Even when the atmosphere threatened to scare the vampire, Rin couldn’t help and exhale a breath of awe. He was old, more than half a century old actually, and he had seen countless structures of magnificent stature fade away, victim to the ebb and flow of time and change. To see a piece of the past that’s probably as old as him — maybe even older — brings a sense of wonder in his dead heart.
