Summary
When Albedo wakes up, it's cold, it's early, and most notably, it's lonely.
He was never one to mind solitude, he became accustomed — intimately familiar — with it when his master had left Dragonspine many moons ago. Some mornings, he wakes up from being drowned in work; some mornings, he wakes up from feeling the tiredness that normal humans feel everyday; some mornings, he wakes up missing somebody.
The alchemist rubs his eyes. Maybe it's one of those mornings when it's all three.
It's another day in his life, and maybe today will be the same as yesterday.
Albedo hopes it is not, but he was never one for hoping.

“A truth serum?” Kaeya asked. It would most certainly explain what's been happening.
Albedo gives him a nod. “It should wear off some time soon, it's been a few days, after all,” he stated. “I believe speaking or writing the truth also helps to speed up the process."
Kaeya considers his options. He already made sure that Albedo was okay, so he could leave while the alchemist recovered from the effects of the serum. The second option was to stay.
“Would you like me to help you?” he offered anyway.
Albedo, seemingly against his will, had begrudgingly nodded. “Yes, please.”

Summary
Bickering and bantering in the house was normal for Kaveh and Alhaitham. They fought over things like who makes better dinner, who makes better coffee, whose books are piling on the living room table. Bickering meant that you knew and understood each other in a way that nobody else did. It's both a stress reliever and a source of stress, as both men can be too absorbed in their own opinion, whatnot with their contrasting personalities.
Despite that, they always wake up the next morning pretending that everything is fine. Alhaitham would get started on coffee, and Kaveh would get started on breakfast. Bicker all they want, they live with each other—and in a way, they need each other too.
Until one day, after a rather strenuous argument they had last night, there is no smell of breakfast, and there's no sign of Kaveh.

I have made a mistake. Without going too deeply into the details, as I do not want this mistake to go viral or get out among people I know, I can say here: my best friends are getting married in less than three weeks, and their guest list has mistakenly listed me as bringing a plus one.

He realises he’s in love with Yamaguchi one night before dinner. Yamaguchi’s parents were out of town for the weekend, so he was staying with them for the duration, Kei’s mother hadn’t wanted him to be alone.
He’d known she’d think that, so he made sure to mention it a few days beforehand, and then had just sat back as if he wasn’t the one to practically suggest it when his mother had insisted Yamaguchi stay over before she demanded he text his friend and sort it out.
Maybe he should have realised then.
