"Ann drags her into the store, right into the first aisle they see, and starts going through clothes, picking out all sorts of tops and skirts and pants, heaving them all into Akira’s hands. Eventually the pile gets so big Akira can’t even see Ann from behind all the clothes.
'Alright!' Ann says, rotating around Akira and gesturing to a door nearby. 'There are changing rooms over there. The ones in here are big, and they have good mirrors, so you’ll be able to see them on yourself too! So go ahead!'
'Uh.' Akira manages. 'This is- I mean-'

And then the school uniform… A reminder of what life is like for now. The only outright masculine clothing she wears. She has to resist the urge to throw it at the wall. But no. She needs to control herself better. A lack of self control is what got her here."
Akira Kurusu is already having a hard enough time in life with her conviction and subsequent forced move to Tokyo. The last thing she needs is the fact that she's trans getting out too.
