Summary
Zoro doesn’t much like tea, but Sanji, Sanji looks as if this is the best thing he’s had in a while. The first flavourful thing he’s had in his body in days. His shoulders ease, his eyes flutter shut, not in the way they have the past couple days that sends a shiver or a panic through Zoro, it’s in a blissful, content way. And Zoro feels content within himself.
“Why are you up?” Sanji asks, finally breaking the silence when about half of his cup of tea is gone.
“You weren’t in your bed” Zoro answers, his eye still trained towards his saucer on the table.

Following a vivid nightmare triggered by a passing resemblance to a dark chapter from his past, Sanji, the Straw Hat Pirates' devoted cook, finds himself spiralling into a dangerous cycle of self-sacrifice.
Haunted by the memory of starvation and fearing he might fail his crew, Sanji begins to secretly ration his own food, eventually cutting himself out of the meal plan entirely to ensure his friends never go hungry. As the days pass, the physical and mental toll of his choices begins to show, leading to uncharacteristic stumbles and a fading presence that does not go unnoticed by his crew, especially Zoro.

Summary
When he’s hacked up the last of the water in his lungs, Sanji pushes himself up on his palms. Despite how exhausted he looks, his eyes are still wild when they latch onto Zoro’s face.
Sanji starts out, “The Merry—”
“Not here,” Zoro tells him. “There was a storm. Remember?”
“I was getting Chopper off the deck,” Sanji says slowly, frowning, like the mere act of recollection is giving him a headache. “I went over.” He looks up as he remembers: “You jumped in after me.”

After a storm washes them overboard, Zoro and Sanji get stranded on a strange island that changes by the day.

Summary
Zoro can’t help but wonder if bad dreams have been the catalyst for every stock take and rationed supply, how many times nightmares have tangled with the necessity of checking what they have so that none of them die at sea.
Last night had been the first time Zoro noticed, but he himself has woken with phantom pains from unconscious memories forced to the forefront of his mind many, many nights. Luffy has woken him a few times with snot dripping from his nose, seeking comfort, wracked with memories of Ace. Franky doesn’t like loud noises, as flashy as he is, and maybe the reason Brook sometimes refuses to come to bed is because he too is haunted by things that have happened in his past.
Perhaps Zoro noticed for the first time last night, but the cook is seasoned at having to find comfort within himself.

Summary
It's easy for Sanji to cook and feed his crew, and anyone else for that matter...until it comes to himself, and out of everyone to notice, it had to be Zoro.

Summary
‘’This didn’t happen.’’
‘’It did, and we’re going to talk about it,’’ Zoro says, not caring about what Sanji has to say. ‘’You’re not doing well, and we’re going to fix it.’’
Sanji sighs. He’s still leaning on Zoro, he desperately needs Zoro’s steadiness as his feet occasionally trip over one another. ‘’I’m doing just fine,’’ he responds, barely audible.

Summary
Sanji hated what he was. Trying his best to shape himself, or an image of himself, to be tender and sweet. Trying his best to give love. He gave so much, he didn’t have any left for himself. And for a long, long time now he was convinced, so sure of it, that nobody could ever truly care for him.
The one and only person who ever did died when he was a child. And any hope of someone caring died with her.He loved his crew, he truly did. But still he felt inferior in every aspect. They’d be better off with a new cook. Someone who wasn’t a liability, who was beaten into submission for so long, he barely had a sense of self.
The only thing that kept him going was the ocean, the promise of the hidden, mythical ocean, somewhere out there. But the sea had started calling for him in a different way a while back, more and more. Getting louder every day. He could barely look at it anymore.
Any time he did he would imagine himself giving in – giving up – and embracing its calling. Embracing the sea, like he wished he could.
