Summary
Everyone has wings as soon as they abandon their home AU. These wings can variate in quantity (2-6), colour, and in shape. This Cross knew beforehand, thanks to XChara. Talking was the only thing they could truly do to entertain themselves. However, he did obtain more information at the matter when Nightmare, the skeleton they had tried to kill and is now their boss, filled the blanks with culture expectations and traditions regarding those wings. But there was something that both XChara and Nightmare failed to tell him. That was; how the wings will appear and how much it would hurt.
/or Cross is new to the group, everyone has wings and shenanigans ensue.

Cross runs away from his family after getting a letter from Hogwarts, but he is on his own until the train actually gets to england, and when it does he is welcome in a cramped cabin with a bunch of trouble kids, he's completelly unaware that this adventure has just started, and they are not leaving him alone any time soon.

Summary
Dream had always run hot and Nightmare had always run cold, but with the apples they both digested the hotness and coldness seemed to reach an all-time high. If there was too much positivity Dream would burn hotter than the sun, but if there was too much negativity Nightmare would run colder than outer space. They can't bring their temperature down if it's gone up unless they're both touching. It was easier as kids, but now as enemies, it's so much harder.
Or: Dream burns hotter than the sun and Nightmare runs colder than outer space, only touching each other can help, but they're enemies, they're not supposed to hug!

Summary
The shame burned. Dream felt as though everyone knew. Knew that he was a failure, that he needed something additional to work (and he was already worse at his work than he'd like). Knew that he wasn't the beacon of happiness and hope that they believed in, that they needed, that they loved. That he was something flawed, which felt sorrow and exhaustion and shame.

“Because someone had to!” he exploded. “What sense would it make to reminisce about a past that doesn’t matter anymore?”
Dream’s breath hitched. Her voice wavered, a whisper compared to his rage. “It matters to me.”
Then the room was silent. The atmosphere was so thick, lacking his sister’s usual warmth. It was hard for Nightmare to keep his calm, especially now. He came here to comfort Dream, but now it seemed as if he was making her worse.
