The surprised sound escapes him almost automatically before he suddenly bursts into laughter.
The laugh catches even him off guard.
It spills out freely, bright and genuine, washing away the lingering tension that had clung to him ever since Whaloh appeared beneath the depths. Still soaked from head to toe and thoroughly exhausted, he laughs anyway, unable to help himself.
The heavy atmosphere breaks almost instantly.
Watching him, Satoshi instinctively reaches up to rub the back of his head with a sheepish smile. "It's Satoshi..." he says, gently correcting Genji.
Even as the words leave his mouth, however, his attention quietly shifts back toward Goh.
For just a brief moment, his eyes linger there.
He watches Goh laugh, shoulders shaking lightly as the last of the tension melts away. Without realizing it himself, a soft smile quietly forms on Satoshi's face. There is something comforting about hearing that laugh again after everything that has happened over the last several minutes.
