Summary
During the battle at The DoM Hermione is captured and brought to Voldemort. When he uses Legitimacy papers to find her parents what he learns angers him. Hermione is not Muggle-born, she is his. Having no idea he had a child, Voldemort changes gears when it comes to the war hoping to gain Hermione's trust while doing so.
Severus has feelings for Hermione that are, in his eyes, inappropriate to feel for a student. It doesn't help when Voldemort wants him to bond with Hermione to protect her when she returns to Hogwarts to play interference with Albus.
Harry is conflicted when he learns of Hermione's true identity.
Dumbledore isn't the man Hermione thought he is to be.

Summary
1998. Severus Snape has survived the Second Wizarding War.
Presumed dead, still dealing with the traumas of his past, having nowhere to go and no sense of purpose, he returns to Spinner´s End to battle his inner demons. Meanwhile, Dark Lord´s remaining followers begin to regroup and plan revenge with help from foreign allies the British Ministry has never managed to track down and is powerless to fight. The scattered Death Eaters suspect Snape is alive and still has sensitive information that could lead them to a powerful artifact.
To further complicate Snape´s already perilous situation, an Irish historian moves into the abandoned house next door. She brings a heavy baggage of family secrets and previously unknown connections to the magical world, and gradually becomes a fixture of Snape´s life, inadvertently changing it.

Summary

Desperate to convince the Dark Lord of his obedience, Snape launches a plan to appease him. It should take years to develop giving Dumbledore and Potter the time they need to fulfill the prophecy.
