Summary
Nyles Chapman, a meteorologist with an incredible instinct when it comes to tornadoes, had his life upended when he lost three close friends while testing out a hypothesis. Their deaths seemed to also kill his love of storm chasing, and he left his hometown of Sapulpa to settle down in New York. It's only when an old friend of his, the only other person to walk away from that last chase, comes to seek him out that he decides to head back home and try to help him learn more about the deadly but beautiful storms. What he hadn't expected was running into his brothers, and the cowboy scientist they followed.

Gavin laughs, catching himself off guard. “Isn’t this what college is supposed to be like? Hell, I wish I was as bold as her.”
The professor turns his body closer than before, now leaning towards Gavin on one elbow. He raises his eyebrows, a smirk playing on his lips as he looks over the man in front of him. Gavin can feel himself flush at the attention, but he couldn’t care less at the moment.
“Is that so?” the professor purrs, eyes raking Gavin’s form. Gavin’s eyes widen as he nods his head slowly.

One thing is for sure, he is not going to treat his new partner special, even if he does have an LED.
Nines was not built to be a detective like his brothers, but he wants to be one. He is determined to prove his worth and show that he can always be an asset. Unfortunately, his assigned partner is a contradiction that Nines does not understand. How can a man be constantly found everywhere but his desk, and yet still be the best detective in the precinct?
