Summary
Ten years ago, the country of Atrivais was conquered by and subjected to the rule of the enemy empire of Tiryrium. Tiryrium rules with an iron first over the subjugated peoples of Atrivais, imposing strict curfews and laws meant to force assimilation into the greater empire.
The remnants of the loyal Atrivais army stowed away in forests, mountains, wherever a rebel could. The Free Army of Atrivais regains their strength and maintains a constant conflict with Tiryrium, disrupting supply lines, protecting their people, trying to win back their country’s freedom.
Julien Enjolras is one of the many soldiers under the command of the Rebel General Calixte Archambault, successor to the deceased General Lamarque.
René Grantaire is a drunkard half-elf bard, novice mage, and one rather proud in his success of not getting mixed up in politics, rebellions, or wars. Until he discovers a horribly injured Enjolras after an attack by Tiryrium regulars in the village he’s travelling through.
Suddenly on the run from the Tiryrium army and thus their government with an injured Atrivais soldier, he isn’t sure what to make of it all.

Summary
No rest for the wicked, evidently. Did it always have to be fucking mad scientists? Clint was feeling extremely stupid for getting captured in the first place, but of course his captors had to turn out to be some weird group of mad scientists who wanted to stick him with needles. No thanks. Half of New York, most world leaders, and the entire country of Croatia already wanted to stick him with knives and string him up. He would really, really rather that happen that these goons in their stupid scrubs do...whatever it was they were planning to ultimately. He actually didn’t know what they wanted with him in particular besides to enact their experiments. Considering they didn’t seem to know who he was. They thought he was just some random civilian they lifted off of the streets while he stumbled down the sidewalk last night, or was it a few nights ago? He was drugged most of it, or he might be able to tell. Little did they know this guy was Hawkeye, which meant an angry Cap, and an even angrier Hulk would kick their asses. Probably. Did the team even know he was missing yet? Oh, god.

Summary
The revolution was lost. It wasn’t due to some last minute strategic genius on part of the British forces, though that was what dealt the final blow to the dying men. The revolution was lost far before the army was routed and Washington was captured and executed. The rebels dug their own grave. Their grave was dug in the constant infighting. The tension between forces commanded by the generals, all of which had different ideas on how to win the war. Infighting was the worst sickness that could overtake an army or a movement. It crumbled a force faster than anything. Starving and desperate men were more prone to agitation which led to the want, the need to blame someone for their suffering. It made them turn against one another. The generals argued, the soldiers argued. None of them spoke their opinion as loudly and or as obnoxiously as Major General Charles Lee.
Charles Lee is at the center of a chaotic ending of the revolutionary war, and must deal with the consequences of his actions, while his comrades just try to survive.
