He Xuan scoffs, the sound echoes harshly through the room. “I’ve decided not to hurt you, are you trying to change my mind?” They ask, and this time their words really do achieve silence from her. “Besides, not all things are equal, if vampire hunters were fish, he’d be a shark and you’d be a koi fish. One is dangerous and the other is just there for decoration.”
Shi Qingxuan’s mouth hangs open in an “o” at the insult. Under normal circumstances, she might have pointed out that this means He Xuan thinks she’s pretty, but this is He Xuan, they have her held hostage, and they are using her to get to her older brother.
In which the Shi family are vampire hunters and He Xuan is a vampire with a grudge against them. He Xuan captures Shi Qingxuan in an attempt to get to her brother, but keeping her hostage leads to some unexpected revelations for them both.
