Summary
Colin whispered. “She won’t look at me.”
Anthony’s heart lurched for his brother. The poor poor fool, in love with his best friend and unable to see it. Anthony understood that feeling all too well. He still shuddered to think of what would have happened if he hadn’t come to his senses and professed his love to Kate.
“When we danced, when I all but forced her to, she looked at my waistcoat and told me all was well. When I visited her home, she nodded politely and looked pointedly at her mother’s wallpaper. Today morning at Hyde Park, she spoke at length about her being perfectly fine while staring at my shoes.” Colin said softly, his own eyes downcast, focussing on some inane spot on the mahogany table.
Colin Bridgerton returns from his tour and realizes his dearest friend wants nothing to do with him. Who better than his meddlesome family to give him advice on how to rectify this situation.
