    Summary

Sometime during their unstoppable descent into the realm of the damned, it became apparent to V1 that they are merely a chess piece, moving at the hands of an unseen player; one that is swiftly closing in on the other for a resounding checkmate. At the very end of Hell, Gabriel loses his final match with the machine that unwittingly broke the shackles he had noticed far too late.

Rather than putting an end to his existence, V1 instead takes the opportunity to shatter the board and stop the game.

In the aftermath, both machine and archangel are left standing in the settling dust of the collapsed echelons of creative order. But a scorched earth isn't always the end. Something will eventually grow from the ashes of utter destruction, if given the chance.

    Good people grew wings.

How wings grew, why they grew, and the exact criteria for being a good person, were unclear.  Science had discovered many things over the years, but human wings remained a mystery and the closest thing to real magic the average person would ever know about.  Even so, this one point, that you had to be good to grow wings, was agreed upon by virtually everyone.

    Summary

Maybe, if The Narrator wasn’t doing his absolute best to ignore Stanley’s nonsense, he would have already noticed that something isn’t quite right here. How very easy it is to forget that he has a number; a number that corresponds to an office, no less. Silly man. He should have been more careful.

The Narrator stands and whirls around just in time to see Stanley start to wander in, expecting another empty office. Stanley freezes when he realises that the office is very much not empty.

    Summary

The Narrator never would have guessed it was possible to leave the Parable. He doesn't remember anything that came before the game, although he and Stanley both assume that there was... something. Right?

On what at first seems to be another normal run, Stanley accidentally stumbles upon a strange new ending that leads to an impossible chance. All of a sudden, he and The Narrator are forced to face the possibility of leaving the game behind for good. And one thing's for sure—they’re in for more than a few surprises on the outside.

In other words: Stanley and his Narrator are getting the hell out of Dodge.
