She’s illusive, unprofessional, and hard to get their skilled hands on.
It’s you, you’re the weapon.
You don’t exist. You live off the crimes of others, thrive off of their troubles. Acutely aware she was now alone with Michael, Fredo, and Tom in a lavishly decorated lounge, Saphie felt her fascination war with a growing sense of unease.
Michael sat opposite her on a leather sofa, his gaze steady and unreadable.
Fredo, ever the entertainer, wore a jovial smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. He busied himself at the bar, glancing over, “Anything I can get for you, Saphie? We have plenty. Just name it and it’s yours.”
Tom, glancing over, offered a gentle, reassuring nod. “Fredo loves to play host. Let us know if you need anything,” he said warmly.
Despite the hospitality, Saphie couldn't help but feel she was heading straight into danger.
