Summary
Tenya cannot imagine what Tensei will do now, so used to Tensei being his hero is he. He pictures his brother alone in Hosu (because Mother and Father will leave, because they always do; there’s always something more important than Tensei and Tenya, always, always, always), hurt and hurting and with his legacy destroyed by Stain. He imagines this, and his heart hurts.
A world without the hero Ingenium is not one he is sure he can bear. A world where his brother hurts is not one he is sure he can bear.
So no, he doesn’t care at all about this work study. It is merely a means to an end. And he knows that if his teachers had known the real reason why he was here, that he wouldn’t have ever been allowed to come to Hosu or even near Tokyo; he knows Aizawa-sensei would have sent him across the country to Hokkaido or something. He’d be pulled in an instant if Aizawa-sensei found out his true intentions, even though he’s already here. The man would come on the next train personally to drag him back to Musutafu, and Tenya would lose his best shot at Stain.
He would do what he needed to do. Tenya would make sure Stain paid in blood for his crimes.

Shouta arrives home at 5:32 AM on the dot, as usual, and announces his arrival as he removes his boots in the doorway, getting a shout back from Hizashi right away. He can smell the breakfast Hizashi has prepared because he refuses to allow Shouta to subsist off tamagoyaki sandwiches from his favored stall, jelly pouches, and melon pan, a rule which is unfair, especially since the jelly pouches from Shouta’s brand came out with meal-replacing ones recently — but Shouta still gets tamagoyaki with nearly every meal, at least, so he’ll count that as a win.
“Shouta, get in here and explain to me what you mean with your cryptic texts! I know you were having way too much fun on the train,” Hizashi complains, and there’s the sound of dishes clinking together as breakfast is surely being plated. “I want to know who’s the stray you’ve decided to house, and do I know them?” Hizashi sounds terribly exasperated, but it’s Hizashi, and Shouta can read him like a book, and it’s fond, terribly, terribly fond, too.

He won’t spill All Might’s secret.
Even if All Might deserves it.
Even if he knows that he’s loved in the Quirkless community and they would all believe him without hesitation.
There’s no need. Izuku believes in karma, and based on the way All Might’s going, based on the way he’s clearly too foolish to manage his time appropriately and too foolish to take care of himself and too foolish to retire...
It’s only a matter of time before karma comes around for that man. It was humorous that All Might had the nerve to tell him to be realistic when he wasn’t being realistic about his own limitations. Izuku didn’t think he was going to be the next number one hero. Izuku only wanted to be a hero that put people at ease, and he didn’t think that was something that was too extreme. The only thing All Might was on a path towards was putting himself in a grave.
Fucking idiot.
Izuku would show him realistic.
