The glower as he swallowed only made Wei Wuxian bare his teeth in a grin that was all vicious victory. That look - all bruised pride and promised vengeance - had been making his blood sing since puberty. Jiang Cheng giving him that look while on his lap, hair loose and slightly mussed from his earlier struggles. dressed in a robe that barely covered his modesty? He was pretty sure even the dreams he’d had while discovering desire in his youth had never provided such a provocative picture.
He was suddenly very aware of all the places they were touching. Of his arm tight around his waist - trapping his arms to his sides. Of how close their faces were. He swore he could even hear voices whispering through his mind, slippery and sinister.

“Liu-shidi, I know you’re there,” Shang Qinghua laughs lightly at him, “may I come in?”
Liu Qingge knows his shixiong will be persistent, so he acquiesce’s with an affirmative hum.
Shang Qinghua approaches the edge of the bed, but doesn’t get too close, staying a respectable distance away. Liu Qingge tries to keep his chin held high, as though this isn’t the worst nest ever created and that he isn’t having a fit. It’s harder to maintain eye contact than he would have thought, though.
Luckily, Shang Qinghua breaks their eye contact, but that means he’s perveying Liu Qingge’s haphazard nest. “You were nesting?” he asks.

"Jiang Cheng was starting to realize how utterly soft he was for his nephew. He had by now lost count how many times he had done something he otherwise wouldn’t because of the brat, and it was startling that he only saw it now.
He was also a sucker for kids with no family whatsoever. Since he himself grew up without much parental love after his brother was brought into the picture, he had found out that he had a sort-of savior complex. The feeling of wanting to save a child from an unhappy childhood overcame him every time he was presented with the opportunity to do it himself, and many a time he had contained himself, saying that it would only make it worse for them - he wasn’t in the right mindset to take care of yet another kid. Taking care of himself was already a problem even before Jin Ling came into the picture. But taking care of two? He couldn’t."
