“I don’t want you to be in the cold on your own, Vine,” Shuri’ countered, though he found a slight smile. Vine patted his back with the wood as gently as she could. The feeling still wasn’t there, but the pull on her flesh was all the contact she needed to know she was connecting with Shuriken.
“I’m not on my own. I have you,” she concluded. VineStaff leaned against Shuriken in a gentle hug, sighing longly. Shuri went silent, leaving the only sounds to fill the air: the songs of the Phestival below, the burning fireworks, and the faintest hum of those auroras.

Finally, Edward was cornered on this deathly dancefloor, his nimble mind ran for him to possibilities. his back was pressed against the wall of the protective stone, holding on for dear life as he reloaded with his last bit of ammo, shooting what he could until he was entirely empty. The stairs on his left weren’t practical, and this wall was so smooth and tall that he pressed his back to it, that only the undead would manage to scale it.
There was a moment where Edward thought to himself, he would die.

In desperation to regain some sort of friendship with nothing but his guitar and a prayer, meeting the love of his life might not be too bad...
It just sure would be a shame if something happened there, too. Something about broken guitar strings doesn't sound good, and neither does heartbreak.
