Summary
“Not here for a medic,” the kid continues, stubbornly ignoring the rejection Ratchet is trying to shove at him.
“Then slag off, will you?” Ratchet says, glaring over his new drink at Deadlock. “I have a hot date waiting.”
“With what?” Deadlock snarks with that familiar bite of cruelty to his words. “A tank pumping from your colleagues?”
Ratchet nearly chokes on the mouthful of sludge he just took and ends up spitting half of it back in the glass. He makes a face at it. When he turns to Deadlock again, his glare is as deadly as the guns the mech loves so much.
Biting his lip and returning Ratchet’s gaze with wide-open optics, Deadlock almost looks more surprised about what he said than Ratchet.
“What did you say?” Ratchet asks dangerously.
