Summary
"Gaius! No, Gaius!" Merlin was holding Gaius' dead body in his arms. He was shaking, crying, he hated Morgana Pendragon and he wanted to see her dead.
"No, Gaius, wake up!"
"Merlin, come on. Leave." Someone was dragging him away. It was Arthur but Merlin didn't care. All he was able to see was Gaius' unconscious face. He wished it was just a nightmare. Gaius coudn't be dead...
"GAIUS!" Merlin was writhing in Arthur's hands but he was too weak. He fainted after few seconds.

Summary
"Merlin." the hall resounded with Uther's unmerciful voice. Merlin was kneeling in front of the throne, members of the court were all staring at him. Merlin's eyes were filled with fear, searching for Arthur.
"Do you admit you have magic?" Uther stood up, his cold eyes right at Merlin.
"I do." Merlin mumbled, quietly.
"Speak louder." Uther was enjoying Merlin's humiliation. He was just a sorcerer and manservant after all.
Merlin closed his eyes, calmming himself down. "I do."
"Alright. You are adjudged guilty of conspiring to use enchantments and magic."

Summary
Merlin grabbed his shot of irish whiskey and smiled at a curly boy standing in the opposite corner. When the boy noticed Merlin, he rolled his eyes and left the club.
Getting drunk was Merlin's daily routine these days and these years. Being wasted was the only way how to slightly forget about Arthur. About his death. Eventually, even alcohol couldn't help him through.
Merlin paid for his booze and left the club, slowly. He was tottering, side to side, bumbling around and stumbling.
It was a warm, pleasant night, there was a light breeze in the air. Merlin couldn't feel it anyway. He was too drunk, too broken. He was just a poor old man trapped in a young body, who has already suffered too much.
Merlin wasn't able to keep on his feet and he fell down on a cold, solid ground after a while. He was lying there, he could feel his blood flowing down his face. He was crying.
"Arthur... Arthur..." He called his name over and over again. He closed his eyes and familiar images in his head appeared. However, he was used to it.

"Your dumplings. They are too salty. Arthur doesn't like it that way." Merlin was in a royal kitchen, helping out with dinner preparations. He knew exactly what Arthur loved.
"No one insults my dumplings, they are the talk of Camelot!"
"Well..." Merlin choked. "If you think so." He raised one of his eyebrows.
"I pray you, shut your mouth, boy." Audrey threatened him with a wooden spoon, agrily. She was just too proud of her dumplings.

"Gaius! What happened?" Merlin came as quickly as he could, keeping his eyes on his beloved Arthur.
His Prince was deadly pale, apparently unconscious and he was barely breathing.
"I don't have the slightest idea," Gaius said while treating Arthur's wounds. "I believe someone attacked him in his chambers... yes, I assume it was Morgana," he added when he saw the look on Merlin's face.
