    It's not a dream, nor is it hell. He's not an Amanto, no longer a ghost or a demon, just plain old Takasugi with maybe a hint of immortality.

    Gintoki is trying to recover from the final battle and the deep scars that remain when his old comrade shows up in front of him, with problems of his own. Yorozuya's newest job to retrieve Takasugi's memories and help him adjust to normal life turns into him growing more open and dependent on the people around him while navigating his second (third?) chance at life. As they realize they finally have the time to share that drink and make up for lost moments, their feelings for each other become relevant again after a lifetime of being repressed.

    Written like an epilogue, takes place after the events of Gintama: The Very Final, delving into the lives of all the characters in the show, how they deal with the new addition of Takasugi. Canon Compliant and focused on Gintoki and Takasugi navigating their past, present and future together!
