From the heart of the shockwave, a figure tumbled from the sky, plummeting toward the earth like a fallen star. Hiccup’s breath caught in his throat. The figure was not a dragon or a bird—it was a person. They were falling fast, their arms flailing as they descended rapidly toward the beach far below.
“Hiccup!” The voice was shrill, filled with terror, but it was unmistakably calling his name.
Hiccup’s eyes widened in shock. Whoever this was, they knew him. But Hiccup had no time to process it. His instincts kicked in as he scrambled to his feet.
“Toothless,” he shouted, his voice filled with urgency. “Catch them!”
