Dying was okay. It was not a good nor a bad thing, it was just okay.
All the pain would be gone, all the joy would be over… Dying was just the end and that was it, right?
The process of dying, on the other hand, was not that ‘okay’. It was sad and so painfully long, that sometimes it was worse than being alive.
The process of dying just made you wish for death.
“What are those things supposed to be?” Haechan whispered, cuddling into Mark’s chest.
“Amm, those are supposed to be stars” Mark answered in a whisper too, his voice lower than the boy next to him. “I painted ‘em for you.”
“They are horrible…” Haechan softly laughed. A big smile formed on his tiny face, suddenly feeling shy and with his heart beating so fast it would make Dr. Qian come to check on him at any minute. “I love them.”
