Dream never entered the White Horse in 1389. He turned on his heel and left the filthy place, not heeding his sister’s plea. Hob Gadling became Death’s project, protégé, friend.
In the 2020s Hob repairs clocks for a living. It’s a nice job, albeit somewhat unspectacular – until one day a strange client enters his shop, and Hob dreams like he never has before. -
