Dan thinks he’s absolutely the most beautiful thing. He had been as much through a screen, but here, in person, it’s so much better. Dan can see every freckle, splattered like paint from a brush across Phil’s arms and along his back. He can see every laughter line on his face, every auburn strand of hair that has missed the touch of blue-black dye. For the first time, he is allowed to see Phil just as he is. Just as everyone else who had the privilege before Dan came around had seen him.
If Dan gets his way, and he usually does when it comes to Phil, no one else will ever be granted permission to see him like this again.

They’ve spent their first evening together bathing in each other's company, after waiting months to finally just be able to touch, and Dan thinks this might be it for him.

For once, the urge to correct Phil leaves him. Dan doesn’t even laugh at his expense.
Dan can’t help but think they’re getting away with something. He always felt like this at home, but it astounds him that even fifteen hundred miles away, he still feels guilty. And that makes him feel a bit sick, if he's honest.
