Summary
In which Sage of Truth-esque Shadow Milk (not a soul jam holder) finds himself as the Beast of Deceit
Shadow Milk was a ‘normal cookie’; he often found it funny that he shared the same name as a character from a novel he read. Friends and students alike frequently teased him for it. But alas, he was a teacher at heart, and there was no way in his mind that he would torment someone so kind-hearted who believed in the truth.
After all, Pure Vanilla was such a charming character that he was swayed by his lowest and cried at his peaks when he overcame his suffering.
This is why it was distressing to find himself as an astral projection watching over Pure Vanilla in a world where he was still known as “Healer Cookie.”
With a book in his hands, he was given a checklist of requirements. Oh- He was Shadow Milk Cookie, from the novel. Shouldn’t he be given a script? Witches, where would he even begin? He was a performer at heart, but in something so life-like, he might have been given an impossible task.
Please let this be a lie, or a dream. Yes, a dream was better.

Summary
⚠ This is an alternative universe story. Pure Vanilla does not visit Beast-Yeast in the canon plot but discovers Shadow Milk through a different, unforeseen path.
---
In a kingdom of sweetness and light, a king embarks on a journey that leads him far from familiar halls and warm fires. What begins as a simple mission to visit a distant friend at snow slowly unravels into whispers of shadows, illusions that breathe, and a presence that seems to follow him wherever he goes. The lines between reality and deception blur, and a mysterious jester with mismatched eyes appears, watching, teasing, and guiding him through dangers unseen. Was it truly his 'light of truth'?

Summary
He takes a few deep breaths and stares at the… Fount. That is the Fount of Knowledge sitting there, in a plush seat next to the bed he’d been strapped to, face just as placid as he’d always thought to make it appear in the ancient days when it was him in those robes. He is almost radiant in this light, the sunbeams that stream through the window catching the curling cloud-like waves of his hair in the perfect way to bring out its stars.
There was a time when he would spend hours studying the position of them, mapping constellations in his mirror. The lights have long since been snuffed out but the memory stayed, it plays itself again right before his eyes.
It’s like looking through a window right to his past.
What the hell.

Or, Shadow Milk Cookie wakes to find himself a long way from home, and his best shot at getting back is playing nice with one of the cookies he despises the most. Himself.
