And now, one person will have to face death head-on, see something that no one else will ever know about, and run away. But even so, will there be a place for her in this new life and world, so different from the one she knew before? How much pain will she have to endure, how much hope will she have to find and lose?

“Understand what?” Grace stood, thighs still aching, and tossed the remote onto the bed, flurry of feelings- primarily dread- causing him to clench his fingers together. “What is there to understand?”
“The nature of Grace Rocky… relationship.” Rocky's words were plucked carefully from where they were stored within him, and a few stray puzzle pieces seemed to snap into place in Ryland Grace’s mind all at once.

“Grace can feel song, question?” Rocky asked, slower than usual. The cooing had lulled him, too.
“I… Maybe? Yeah,” Grace whispered, and Rocky had to focus to understand the slurring.
“Humans can feel sound, question?”
Grace huffed a small laugh. “Sometimes, yeah. For example, when the sound is… very low and loud, we can feel it in our chests.”
“Song is neither low nor loud.” That would have an entirely different effect.
“I know. I can still feel it, I think. It’s strange.”
“Good strange, question?”
“Good strange, yeah.”
Grace could feel sound. Grace could feel Rocky’s songs.
Hmm.
Rocky discovers nature's laws aren't as inflexible as they'd thought. He puts this to good use.

"I was just having a… nice dream, and my body responded. It’s a… natural biological process.” Ryland makes the conscious decision to not tell Rocky what it’s called. “It’s related to reproduction, sort of."
“Oh,” Rocky says. “Understand. Is biological process finished now, question?”
Even through the filter of the computer voice, Ryland can pick up on Rocky's devious tone. He knows the answer to his question. Ryland had gone over basic human reproductive biology with him on like, day 25 of their relationship. Friendship? Whatever. And Rocky never forgets anything, so of course he knows he wasn’t “finished.” He can tell Ryland is embarrassed, and he’s trying to make it worse, for some reason.
Well, it’s working. Despite his best efforts to remain neutral, Ryland is pretty sure he's blushing down to his chest.
“Yes and no,” he finally answers, trying to ignore that despite everything that’s happened since he woke up, he’s still very hard in his underwear. He rubs at his face, trying to make the blush go away. “I’m… going back to sleep.”
“Okay,” Rocky says. “Sweet dreams.”
That little… fudging… freak. Darn him to heck.

No, Grace did not delve into the specifics on the intricacies of human reproduction. In hindsight, they should have guessed that all intelligent species probably had pornography. With intelligence comes the opportunity for perversion, and this is no different from Eridians.
Tldr: Rocky discovers human mating rituals and kinda wants his alien bestie
