Placing the key in my lock and turning it, brought as much relief as I thought it would. After closing the door behind me and entering the first apartment, my apartment, I placed the bags on the floor and let the door fall into the lock behind me.
That was when I realized I was not lucky at all. I was completely out of luck.

A year ago, her parents died in a car accident and the Stark family fell apart. Sansa is on her own. Or so she thought until she moved into Sandor's small attic room. He's moody, grouchy, and bigger than any man she's ever seen before.
Still, he seems to have a weakness for her. How far can she make his heart thaw, and can he help her through the shadows of her past?

Out of the darkness appeared a worn glove. The brown leather stretched over what was clearly a man’s hand. Without thought Sansa clutched it, pulling it to her face with both hands. The heavy thumb stroked across her cheek, and she gasped air into her lungs as she broke.
“Oh father, it was horrible, so horrible. I dreamed that I watched you die and...and...I couldn’t,” she squeezed the hand harder, tears staining the hide a deeper shade.
The thumb paused in its stroking. She glanced in confusion to the shadow where her father must be standing.
“Not your father, Little Bird."

Joffrey Baratheon has been crowned King of Westeros, and one of his first acts as King is to behead Ned Stark. Crushed by the loss of her father and alone, Sansa Stark is all but a prisoner of the crown. But when the Hound is assigned to be her guard, will she find an unlikely ally in the scarred man? Or something far more interesting?
This is the first fanfic I'm posting, so all constructive feedback is appreciated. Sansa is older in this fic & is of legal age. This story will be at least 300 printed pages and about 100 quick chapters, so please bear with me as I continue towards completion.

Having escaped King's Landing following the Battle of the Blackwater (yay) Sandor has carried Sansa on Stranger's back as far North as he can... until the weather closes in. Lots of snow, just one room at the inn, and nine nights (count em) that our lovelies will have to spend together before they can get back on the road. What could they possibly do to entertain themselves, hmmm?
