Summary
Unspeakable Granger wakes up with missing memories in Hogwarts...in 1942. Hermione might not remember much, but she knew that even post-Voldemort, there were many wannabe dark lords she and her friends had to fight against. The world wasn't automatically sunshine and roses just because they've defeated Voldemort.
Also, go back? What go back? If she doesn't even know how she got here with all the wounds she had, then there's really no guarantee that a safe way to jump forward exists!
Yet the possibilities that are open to her...
if she could change the wizarding world half a century earlier, maybe they'd be more prepared against dark lords in the future. Perhaps a better world for the friends she'd left. With this in mind, Hermione Curie (Granger) sets out to use her field healer and master arithmancer abilities to the fullest (if she had to invent a couple of things earlier than they actually happened in her old future, so be it). Not to mention that in her very-biased-opinion, the wizarding world needs to be dragged out of its old prejudices, kicking and screaming if necessary. But who is that particular prefect? Summary
What if ninja technique developments followed different branches? What happens in a world where not only lethality is important, but understanding why it is lethal is just as important? And while we're working on the whys of the human body, why not leverage that and progress further on the ability to fix people? Lower mortality and morbidity rates are good at preserving the power of a Hidden Village after all. Not to mention that healing and destroying are two sides of the same coin, so why not get two for the price of one?
This is the story set in a weird world where half of all ninja studies medicine and biosciences and Hidden Villages compete to be the best in medicine as well as the best in offing people and subterfuge.

Summary
Two dead dark lord dreaming of distant pasts found out that their thoughts and memories aren't just a passing fancy. Regret is a bitter cup to drink from, but people with a crapton of bad karma to work through can't be choosers. Somewhere between the embarrassing and sad excuse of their recollections, understanding percolates.
Fortunately, it's as they say--you only live twice. Of course Tom Riddle isn't sure how this came about, Anakin Skywalker isn't sure if he deserves it, Magic/Force herself thinks this is a Very Good Idea while the Master of Death thinks this will definitely be Fun.
Tom Riddle is having second thoughts already and wants a refund. Harry Potter politely pretends he didn't hear that. Anakin Skywalker got himself shanghaied for another adventure before he knew it--one would think from the way his life had gone on that he would have had a better instinct on how to avoid this sort of crap.

The relationships between the characters and their development made a lot more sense here than the awkward hash of it in canon. As much as I like Shinichi, I kinda dislike how he kept Ran in the dark while still taking advantage of her hospitality for Conan.
Here, we have a younger brother who looked up to his Aniki (even if the genius brat was more sarcastic about it than not), but his older brother met with some shady and dangerous people before he suddenly had to disappear and lay low. A curious Conan wasn't about to let the mystery go, and thus the story begins...

It's so great, I can't even.
No, really. This is one of the few Spirited Away fics, hec, Ghibli fics, that perfectly captures the magic of actually living your life, to savour each step, face each day, breathe each passing season instead of just mindlessly sleepwalking your way through one. Miyazaki is an expert at demonstrating the romance inherent in even the most mundane life; this fic does not disappoint. Here, Haku does not enact anything in force. Chihiro tries to channels the unnamed longings in her heart, and he is simply content to be there for when she needs assistance. If she did not take a step closer to him, he will remain a practical stranger and never insisting any further. Additional bonus for not messing up the kanji pronunciation in names, and much praise for actually making a stealth reference in kanji. I am also unaccountably happy because Rin is also free.

Early season BBT is kinda fun, I suppose, while the later-seasons are cringe inducing to me and it's something I dropped like a hot potato. Pranks and jokes are one thing, but messing with data? Sabotaging tests? Have you no scientific integrity? If anybody did that to my work, there'd be a cold, well-planned revenge in the works to nuke someone else's career, that's a guarantee. So yeah, that crossed my line, and this fic actually attempted to address that seriously. This is the first reason why I loved this. Seeing Sheldon's growth to become someone more complex than just a nerd punchline is pretty rewarding.
Penny being an aspiring actress is one thing, but I don't feel comfortable with how her character is boxed in, in canon. It's one thing to have your friends laugh with you and another to make you the butt of their jokes. I couldn't in good conscience agree with that and that's why I can't watch further. I always thought she could be more, if only they allowed her, so watching her grow here is great.
I'm not really that much of a shipper or a romantic--I'm game for many things as long as it's written well and not overly melodramatic. What I always wanted to see was a solid friendship, and this story definitely delivers on that front.
Lastly, even Leonard, with all his flaws is human. He's not some sort of monster, just fallible, and even he has his own growth arc. That's not something most writers who would like to sever his relationship with Penny could actually manage. So, 9/10, would definitely reread again.
