Steve gets hired on the spot. Because why shouldn’t he, he brought a printed resume and had the foresight to dress nicely. Which, according to his new boss, Keith, is a pleasant change from the usual applicants who show up in ripped jeans and demonic t-shirts. The look on his face and the specificity of his words tells Steve that this really happened.
“That’s crazy,” Steve says with a commiserating sort of chuckle, because his dad raised a schmoozer. “Hope he wore something better to the next interview.”
“Oh, no,” Keith says offhandedly. “I hired him.”
