“Filthy.” Mu Qing murmured, dipping one of the towels in the bowl and swiping it over Feng Xin’s face gently, cleaning away the blood and grime. “Couldn’t find time to take a bath?”
“Forgive me for not prioritising looking presentable over killing the Wrath that had been terrorising a town in, mind you, our shared territory.” Feng Xin retorted, closing his eyes as the towel swiped over them, removing the congealed blood on his eyelashes and eyebrows. He opened them again and caught a fond look on Mu Qing’s face that disappeared as quick as it appeared.

Summary

Summary
Gods were incapable of getting sick, Mu Qing knew that. Which is why when he was not only throwing up to an excessive quantity AND coughing up enough blood to sustain a life form, he felt weird. And confused. Really confused. Aside from the sickness part, he was fine an hour ago? Feng Xin was applying salve to his wounds, if anything- he should be feeling better! Which led to Mu Qing's final conclusion from this entire exchange:
He was definitely going to die.

Mu Qing learns that apparently bottling up your feelings about pain, sickness and your friends and rival does not work out well. And even when your cursed shackle never left, that is not a sign to ignore it and proceed on with your life.
