"You know, Shane actually has a girl here, in Boston. Lily. He’s just as weird about her as Rozanov is about Jane,” Hayden muttered as he took a sip from his glass. Next to him Marleau snorted with laughter. Then he glanced at Hayden, realised he was being serious and raised an eyebrow.
“I guess the captains have more in common than we realised,” he muttered. Hayden nodded absently as a single thought crept into his mind. One that he did not like at all.
“It’s not too coincidental, is it?” Marleau asked cautiously. Hayden glanced at the other man. In that moment he knew they were both thinking the exact same thing. But it couldn’t be true, right? There was no way that Shane would ever let Rozanov anywhere near him in that way, right?
Or
Hayden gets unexpectedly transferred to Boston half way through the 2015/16 season and accidentally gets roped into fixing his best friend’s love life.

A lightning bolt of arousal sears across Shane's body as he stares at his name on Ilya's back. HOLLANDER, 24 stretches across the broad expanse of Ilya’s shoulders, the bold red lettering even brighter than usual in the sunshine.
He doesn't think he can breathe. He doesn't think he can move.
His name is on Ilya.
OR: Ilya wears Shane's jersey. Shane's perfectly, totally, normal about it. He's definitely not going to drop to his knees immediately about it.

“You wish you had someone who can show you?” Ilya catches on.
Of course he does. That man can read him like a book.
“Maybe,” Shane says, voice barely louder than a whisper. “It doesn't matter, though. It’s stupid. Let’s just sleep, okay?”
He turns his back to Ilya and faces the wall. Ilya is quiet and Shane thinks the conversation has come to an end. That is, until Ilya speaks again. “I could do it.”
Shane’s heart stops. What the hell does that mean?
“Do what?” he laughs, nervously.
“I could show you.”
