Receiving help had also been something new for the incubus. He had been used to simply blocking out his close friends when his brain turned darker or when his body could remember nothing but how to feel pain. Having someone there had been both comforting and painful since he was practically exposing his whole self to his housemate.
Zanny snapped from his nostalgic thoughts once more when he realized he forgot his coffee. The demon trailed back to Fulgur’s room to retrieve the cup and return the stolen phone. He paused briefly at the doorway however when he saw the cyborg hunched over himself, quiet pained gasps escaping from a curtain of silvery hair.

Fulgur has a bad start to the day and Zanny helps him through it.

Summary
He jolted from his thoughts as a cool hand touched his own and her smile made his heart speed up again. Thoma wanted to ask if she heard it, but refrained, as she looked so at peace next to him. Perhaps another time they would discuss their relationship, but for now, they are just friends who care. (He wished they could be more.)

But when she tried to open her eyes, everything was a mix of black and grays. Stumbling onto her feet dizzily, she tried to see where she was, but only stumbled on some rubble.
Lumine slipped out of the alleys, squinting to avoid the blurry shapes of people. Her claustrophobia was still making her breathing hard as her vision swam in and out. Luckily there were only walking streets here, so cars weren’t a worry as she slipped into a crowd.
A scream erupted from somewhere right as her phone started to ring. Lumine whipped around to see people running her way.
“DRAGON!!!” Someone screamed and Lumine had to stop and gape.

Lumine has a very rough day and she just wants good ramen.

Summary
Kaelix is but your average animal biologist Village Boy™ who accepted a job offer in one of the busiest cities in the realm. Frankly, it was a terrifying choice to make.
Against all his expectations, he's made a few good friends three months into living there, and realized that their customs weren't all that different from how things were back home.
He also catches the attention of one Zeal GInjoka, an enigmatic alchemist.

Summary
He eventually decides that he’s pretty. Whether he wants to be or not, Kaelix is definitely pretty in a handsome sort of way rather than handsome in a pretty way, and maybe that’s why he keeps talking to him, even if he probably shouldn’t. He’s always had a weakness for people like that.
“So,” he starts, clutching onto his suitcase for support. “Ice bath already? It’s only been a day.” If they were friends, this is the point where he’d jokingly mention that it’s too early for desperate measures like that, but they’re not, so Freo holds his tongue there, parking it along the roof of his mouth.
The doors chime before sliding open, but Kaelix stays perfectly still, eyes slightly wide and fluid, as if he's forgotten how elevators work. “Is it really that obvious?”

Summary
The very first thing he remembers dreaming into existence was a glass tank for his shrimp, the ones that he scooped up himself that died within days from swimming in the wrong kind of water, and he thought he was very clever about its sudden appearance, hiding it beneath his quilt before he ran out the door. It was harmless, so his parents, although concerned, never scolded him for it, and so it continued. On some days, it would happen, and he would hide whatever trinket fell out somewhere in a drawer or under his bed until he had time to examine it.
They only cared when it was something bigger, something scary. A replica of a painting they saw on TV one night, one that had been stolen the day before. A puppy with curly brown hair, so small, so full of energy. But by the time Luca started pulling things of consequence out, he had also gotten much better at hiding them.
He also met Shu soon after, and the two have been inseparable ever since.

The one where Kaelix, a Bloom, meets Zeal, an Arborist - or would it be more accurate to say that the latter finds him instead?
