A place shrouded in rumors and mystery. Especially where its lord and master Sherlock Holmes is concerned. What secrets is he hiding? Where does he disappear to for months on end and what role will John play in unraveling it all?

He’d sell his kingdom for some horse right now to dull the anger and pathetic loneliness clouding his brain. Better to feel nothing, nothing at all than to feel this, this… He’s not going to, of course. He’s not stupid. But oh, this poisonous gauze he’s wrapped in, permeating through the pores of his skin to eat away at his insides. It’s hateful, this loss of control over himself.

There were a lot of things John Watson wasn’t prepared for when he finally moved out of his childhood home and into a prestigious private university. For one, he did not expect the handsome bloke living in the dorm next to his to be a sociopath and he surely didn’t think that somehow, against all odds, he would fall in love with him.

This is not the first time John has escaped the petulant airs of 221B and soaked his troubles in a couple of pints, softened the edges of a rough day in the company of friends.
Well, Sherlock says ‘friends,’ but really. Five blokes that indulge in team sports, getting together weekly to talk footy and act like ruggers – an otherwise completely deletable bunch if not for the fact that about once every four weeks, John prefers their company over Sherlock’s.

“I can see that,” He responds quietly, tracing an eyebrow with the pad of his thumb. “Sleep, then,” He can hear the crack in his own voice—a perfect match for the one in his chest. He hopes that Sherlock won’t notice, won’t try to pick it all apart.
“Not what I meant,” He rumbles, as he drifts off and away, leaving John alone in wakefulness to wonder what the hell had just happened.
