Susie hated it, the first time.
kris was the cause of most of susie’s stupid choices.

Summary
“S'not your fault that—”
“—I hurt you,” Susie finished. She chewed on the concept, the edges of her voice frantic, her throat thick. “Because you deserved it.”
“Yes.” Kris pressed her hands against their chest. They smiled in a way that failed to be reassuring. Each desperate breath shuddering through their lungs confirmed everything Susie didn't want to know. “S’fine. It’s okay.”
Kris burned like a charred pan straight out of the oven, or an oil fire stoked by liquor. Susie reeled away. “You—you were trying to set me up,” Susie accused, trying to edge words around the chasm opening in her gut. “You were trying to get me to hit you.”
Kris wants Susie to hurt them. They need her to hurt them. Susie isn't as on board with the idea as they are.

Summary
Kris stared at her. They couldn’t speak for a moment, eyes poring over Susie. A part of them couldn’t believe she was actually here, sitting in front of them with a wild gaze. She was soaked, droplets falling from her hair, the jacket over her shoulders turned dark from the water. Had she really braved the rain and wind in the dark of night just because ‘it didn’t feel right leaving’? Kris was silent and unmoving before they ducked their head, running a hand over their face. They peered up at her again, palm clutched over their mouth as their cheeks threatened to tighten with a smile, but Kris took a deep breath and composed themself. They let their hand fall into their lap.
“My… sweater?” They repeated, their words coming out in a low mumble. Their head turned a sliver to the side, and Susie followed the motion and looked in the corner. Through the dark, she could just barely make out the green sweater thrown over the birdcage.i.e., Susie and a soulless Kris reflect on the events of Chapter 4 and their relationship with each other.

Summary
Waiting for the Dark World leaves two of its heroes with the task of, perhaps awkwardly, living their usual lives again. Easier then it is for them, as they have found out, to share it. It's one month till the Sadie Hawkman's dance, and as Kris and Susie fall into friendship, they'll understand better the machinations of hearts and SOULs. A casual tale of Post-Ch. 1 Krusie. Smalltown sweetness, with a side of philosophy as expressed through dumbass teens. / Written before the release of Chapter 2

Summary
(Formerly known as Apples Yearn for Chalk)
Kris Dreemurr was being bullied at school. It didn't feel like bullying. Not when it wasn't the worst thing in the world. Not when they felt strangely understanding of the girl bullying them.
Susie Saurus still didn't have any friends. She doubted it would ever happen. Not that she needed a friend. Not when she was strong enough to be alone.

Summary
During the summer, she’d taken up some gigs, and worked her ass off for some cash. Lawn work, moving stuff around, whatever she could find. Might as well put her stupid muscles to use. And somehow, she’d gotten accepted into a college on the outskirts of the Big City™ on a scholarship, along with getting a job at said college's library as an assistant (nerd job.), but whatever, cash is cash. And majoring in creative writing sure as hell was a gamble.
After exploring campus, she found herself in front of a coffee shop- Actually… It was a… Coffee / flower shop? Half of it was selling plants, the other selling drinks. ‘Butterscotch Coffee and Flowers’. Corny.
Or,
Susie got into college. She has to deal with grades, a part time job, and... Becoming a regular at a coffee/flower shop with an off-puttingly attractive human as the barista.

Summary
Kris swallowed. They cleared their throat and spoke up with a more shy and sweet voice.
"Welcome, heroes!..."
"What the?!..."
Kris continued.
"Don't be alarmed. I... Am the prince of this Kingdom... The Kingdom of darkness."
"Well,"– Susie sniffed, grumbling in a startled tone at impromptu voice acting.–"Your Kingdom sucks. Get a lamp or something."
Or:
I saw a take saying without Dark World Krusie doesn't work. That's a lie, because we have the power of nerds. I demand a duel. This is my Krusie pistol.Or:
Kris is fantastic at voice acting and is too into improvisational roleplay. Susie becomes a big fan and then it spirals.(Now with both final Extra I and II)

Summary
The fire inside her is burning again, and she doesn’t ever want it to stop. Brighter than a blaze or an explosion, the sort of thing she knows she can never feel again and yet so desperately wants to. Their lips taste like apples. She wants more. Their hands slide up to her neck and card through her hair. She wants more. She wants more.
The pain and the soreness and the guilt don’t register for a long, long time. It’s just her and Kris, the desk and the classroom and the world itself out of sight and out of mind.
This must be what hatred feels like.
Susie tries very, very hard to figure out how exactly she feels about Kris Dreemurr.

Summary
"The cage with human soul and parts."
Kris is shaken up by the night's events, seeing that prophecy looming over them, hating how it implies that they are somehow less than this parasite in them. Just a cage, no different than the one they keep in their room. It's given them more perspective. They were someone before and they're someone now despite it's intrusion. Now all they want is their autonomy back, the ability to choose and the consequences that come with those choices. They hope that maybe in freeing themselves, they can change those final lines, whatever they may have been. They're willing to do whatever it takes, but how does one tell the people who have put their lives on the line for them that the idea they have of them only exists due to the actions of something that isn't really them?
