Summary
At twenty-two years old, Atsumu thought he had himself figured out. He’s gone through his share of trials and tribulations, like running himself ragged until he became one of the best setters in the country and sporting a piss-colored mop until he discovered bottles of toner beneath Osamu’s side of the sink.
So surprise grabs him by the ankles and yanks him through the ground and has him hurtling towards Earth’s molten core when a familiar warmth stirs in his abdomen as blood rushes to his groin at the timbre of Sakusa’s voice.
Atsumu reunites with Sakusa when he joins the MSBY roster. Sakusa opens his mouth; Atsumu can't stop popping humiliating boners.

“Atsumu,” he murmurs and his face isn’t cold or bored or annoyed – his lips are slightly parted, the brows knit together and his eyes– he looks at Atsumu like he’s hungry, starving even, for him.
“Omi,” Atsumu sighs and grinds down, burning heat coiling low in his core.
Atsumu jerks awake, panting. He blinks, blearily, into the cool darkness of his room. He’s sweating, the faded Inarizaki shirt he’s been too sentimental to throw away for years sticking to his back, sweat pooling at his temples, in his hair.
He runs a distraught hand over his face. “Fuckin’ shit.” he breathes into the dark.

“What happened?” He asked, mostly to himself.
“I got attacked by a bear.” The man said matter-of-factly, his shivering subsided.
“Oh.” Kiyoomi couldn’t believe it. He honestly just couldn’t believe this situation. Being in a secluded cabin in the woods in the middle of the night with this handsome, hypothermic man was not on his bucket list.
“I’m just kiddin’. I don’t really remember what happened.” He said, and Kiyoomi sighed.
“What’s your name?” He asked, a warm feeling spreading through his face.
“Atsumu.” the man answered. “What’s yer name?”
“Kiyoomi.”In which Sakusa Kiyoomi just wants a vacation, and a record-breaking snowstorm has other plans.

“I shoulda guessed, Omi-kun.” Atsumu releases a harsh, frustrated sigh. It skates across Kiyoomi’s cheeks and runs down his spine, tapping free the disappointment and desperation bubbling beneath all the stomach acid. “Ya always parrot the same excuses when it’s convenient for you.”
“It’s not an excuse,” Kiyoomi says.
Beneath his palm, Atsumu's heart beats fast and steady, on the cusp of sparking alight. “Then why is this time any different than before?”
It’s never a comfortable thing, watching someone collapse beneath their own weight.
In Kiyoomi’s eyes, Miya Atsumu looks so very heavy.
